Company Profile

The Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War is a major part of the War memorium complex at Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow.

The idea of creating the people's monument of Victory in the Great Patriotic War has been discussed for many years and was only brought to life at the end of the eighties/start of the nineties.

In March 1986 The Ministry of Culture of Russia issued an Order entitled 'Regarding the creation of a Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War 1941-45 ' which pre-defined the creation of the Museum as a part of the Victory Group at Poklonnaya Gora.

Its collaboration with Mastertel, the telecommunications partner GUP Poklonnaya Gora began with restructuring its IT system. For this a fibre-optic cable was laid down. It connected the central office and a Management of works with delegations (located at Generala Yermolova Street). As well as the cable, the Central office was also provided with a modern PBX and customized telephone numbers.

During the period when the restructuring of GUP Poklonnaya Gora telecommunications resources was completed, the need to modernize the IT system arose in the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War too. It then announced a tender to provide its telecommunications services.

Having referrals and positive references about its collaboration with GUP Poklonnaya Gora (the operational organization of the Museum), ZAO Mastertel offered its most reasonable solution. During its collaboration with the Museum, a fiber-optic cable was laid into its building. As soon as all work was complete, a good opportunity to test the quality of the provided services arose: the ITAR TASS information agency held its conference in the Museum. It was broadcast live on the Internet. In addition, annual beach volleyball competitions take place at GUP Poklonnaya Gora. It usually broadcasts on the Internet and TV. ZAO Mastertel will take care of all technical aspects of the organization of such large-scale events.

In the framework of joint-collaboration, a partnership agreement was reached. This centered on carrying out an exhibition of field telephones, taken from the Telephone History Museum (established at ZAO Mastertel’s headquarters) at Poklonnaya Gora.
