Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (FGC UES)

Company Profile

FGC UES was established in accordance with the power sector reform program as a sole operator in the United National Electric Grid in order to maintain and develop the Network. It is part of the Rossetti Group, Russia's largest energy holding, which generates and distributes electricity. The Electric Grid facilities of the Federal Grid Company are located across 75 regions of the Russian Federation, covering a total area of 14.8 million km2. The Company operates 134,200 km of transmission lines and operates 903 substations with a total installed transformer capacity of more than 346,800 MVA (35-1150 kV voltage class). The Company employs over 25,000 people.

FGC UES gave Mastertel the task of setting up telecommunications at their newly renovated office at the Zapadnye Vorota Business Center and to optimize their IT infrastructure. This task represented a number of challenges, including the incorporation of a new office into the departmental network. The departmental network of FGC would be integrated with both the corporate and technological networks.

Mastertel coupled fiber-optic cable at the Company's new office, located at Zapadnye Vorota, with the ‘IT ENERGY’ Data Center. Reserve cable was laid to FGC’s Executive Office, located on Academic Chelomey Street.

“The proposed level of quality will fully meet customer requirements. We are pleased to contribute to the growth and further development of FGC in the field of information and telecommunications technologies. Partnering a leading energy company in Russia confirms the correctness of our strategy, which is based on the desire to provide high quality solutions”.

Vitaly Ezopov, Executive Director of Mastertel.
